La Cima Elementary Charter School takes the well-being and satisfaction of our scholars and their families into account in every decision we make. We encourage families to voice concerns directly with teachers and members of the school leadership team during our monthly Family Breakfasts or at any other time. If you feel that a complaint regarding a suspected violation of our school charter or the law is not being addressed satisfactorily, we encourage you to use the complaint process attached below as defined by the New York State Education Department’s Charter School Office. Complaints that do not involve a suspected violation of our school charter or the law should be addressed directly with school leadership. At the beginning of each school year, La Cima teachers send home a welcome letter with each scholar introducing themselves and their professional qualifications. In addition, parents receive a Right to Know notification letter (attached below) stating that they may request this information at any time.

78% of La Cima families responded to our Winter 2011 Family Survey, which asked questions about our school community’s safety, engagement, expectations, with satisfaction rates ranging from 94.5% to 100% (out of 254 students enrolled, we received 199 completed surveys).
