Our scholars
are achieving.
At La Cima, high expectations aren't just a value — they're a result. When scholars are known by name, taught in small classes, and challenged every day, the outcomes follow. Here's what the data shows.

In math, La Cima scholars significantly outperform their peers across New York City and New York State. In 2024–25, 70% of our 3rd through 5th grade scholars scored at or above the proficient level on the NY State Math Assessment — more than 20 points above the NYC average of 49%.
Our 4th grade scholars led the way, with 78% reaching proficiency in mathematics — a result that reflects years of intentional instruction, small class sizes, and a school culture that holds every scholar to the highest standard.
In English Language Arts, more than half of La Cima's 5th grade scholars scored proficient or above — and we continue to deepen our literacy work across every grade.
"These results reflect what happens when scholars are known by name, taught in small classes, and held to high expectations from the very start."
La Cima serves a community where more than 90% of scholars qualify as economically disadvantaged — and we are proud that our outcomes demonstrate what's possible when a school refuses to let zip code determine destiny.
With a 9:1 student-teacher ratio, every La Cima scholar is seen, known, and supported — not as a data point, but as a whole child on a path to excellence.
