At La Cima, we believe in continuous improvement for all of our team members. In alignment with our philosophy of growth mindset, we provide several professional development opportunities for all of our team members.
Weekly Team Professional Development: Every Wednesday, scholars have an early dismissal so that all team members can participate in professional development. These sessions vary in topics, including curriculum development, courageous conversations about race, classroom and school culture or free work time.
Individualized Coaching:Every team member has a coach. Teachers have weekly observations and one-on-ones with their assistant principals to discuss their instructional practice and student work in order to make adjustments to best meet the learning needs of their scholars.
Tuition Reimbursement Stipend: We provide a monetary tuition reimbursement stipend to all team members to apply to coursework or professional development opportunities outside of school. The tuition reimbursement has ranged in value from $1500-$3000 depending on the approved budget.
